Balos lagoon

Balos lagoon is  a stunning coastal destination  located at the notrhwestern tip of  Crete, Creece, near the Peninsula of Gramvousa. Known for its   exotic beauty , the lagoons  features  shallow waters, white sandy beaches,and dramatic  rocky landscapes, it is one  of the most photographed  spots in Cretre .attracting  visitors for its unique natural charm and  crystal   clear waters.Balos is not only a popular  tourist  destination but  also a protected area under the Natura 2000 network, which aims  to preserves Europe's  most valueble and threatened species and  habitats.

Gramvousa  island

Gramvousa  island is located at the northwestern  coast of  Crete, near the famous Balos lagoon. It is  actually made up of two small islets, Imeri  Gramvousa and  Agria Gramvousa  , the most well-known is Imeri Gramvousa, which is  home  to a historic  Venetian fortess built in the 16th  century , offering breathtaking   views of the surrounding sea. the island  it is also famous  for its  shipwreck  and its rich natural beauty, inculding rare plant and  bird species,like Balos , Gramvousa is also  part of the Natura 2000 network .
